Edgebrook has a METRA stop along the Milwaukee District/North Line. Edgebrook is also accessible from the Edens Expressway.
Edgebrook is served by the 84 Peterson and 85A North Central CTA bus routes, as well as the blue line on the CTA train.
Caldwell Woods, named for Billy Caldwell, consists of forested wetlands and bottomlands representing some of the best natural habitat on the Chicago River. The area provides picnic areas, hiking trails and excellent bird watching.
Residents can practice their golf game at the 18-hole Edgebrook Golf Course or the nine-hole Billy Caldwell Golf Course. Both are located within the area’s forest preserves.
